Job Description
The Sound No 1 is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all sound equipment and is responsible for creating and maintaining an accurate and appropriate sound image.
Job Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The Sound No 1 is responsible for operating the sound equipment for each performance as instructed by the Sound Designer, and where a live orchestra is in use, in consultation with the Musical Supervisor/Musical Director.
2. To attend all get-in, fit-up and get-outs as required.
3. To attend and operate sound equipment during the technical and dress rehearsals or at other times as required.
4. To prepare cue sheets.
5. To ensure all equipment is unpacked and prepared at each venue of the tour.
6. To co-ordinate and supervise the get-out of sound equipment at each venue, and to prepare equipment ready for loading at the end of the run.
7. To ensure that all equipment is maintained and in safe working order.
