Job Summary

As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our brand new Chelsea venue. You will be responsible for overseeing service on the floor, supporting bar operations, and helping to create an exceptional guest experience within a creative and fast-paced environment.

Job Description

As a Duty Manager at Art Play London, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our brand new Chelsea venue. Working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing service on the floor, supporting bar operations, and helping to create an exceptional guest experience within a creative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include running shifts, supporting and supervising the Studio & Bar team, assisting with stock management and operational organisation, opening and closing the venue as a keyholder, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations during workshops, events, and regular service.

We are looking for confident leaders with big personalities who can help lead, motivate, and support a wonderful team of creative Studio & Bar staff while maintaining a fun, welcoming, and professional atmosphere within the venue.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Job Requirements

This role would suit someone with previous hospitality supervisory or management experience who is confident leading a team, enjoys guest interaction, and thrives in a creative, social environment. We are looking for strong communicators with big personalities who are able to lead by example, create a positive atmosphere for both guests and staff, and remain calm and organised during busy services and events.

Experience within creative or experience-led venues is extremely welcome, particularly those with backgrounds in theatres, museums, galleries, immersive experiences, arts venues, or hospitality-focused environments.

Please note this role will require regular evening and weekend availability in line with venue operations and events.
