Trustees

Creative Recovery is a grassroots charity based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire that uses artist-led creativity to support mental health and recovery, boost well-being, build communities and bring about social change.

We are embarking on an exciting process of transformation, supported by a major grant from the National Lottery Community Fund.

We are looking for trustees with a range of expertise to support us as we forge a new vision, develop our business plan, explore new partnerships and approaches, and embrace emerging opportunities.

You might be an artist, someone working at a senior level in a charity or company, a mental health worker, finance expert or fundraiser, someone with Board experience looking for a new challenge, or someone entirely new to being a trustee- we’re excited to hear from you!

We are particularly keen to hear from folks with management and leadership experience as we explore new models of governance and co-chairing.

You don’t need to be based in Barnsley- we cover travel expenses to attend board meetings in person.

Equally you don’t need to have experience being on a board of trustees before and we welcome candidates with lived experience.
