Job Description
Step Change Studios is led by its Founding Director and supported by a team of teachers and volunteers. With an increasing volume of work in the next 3 months, we wish to recruit a project administrator to support project administration and delivery. This is a varied role working across different projects, undertaking a variety of duties.
The appointment will be for 3 months from late-September to December, working remotely 14 hours a week. Days of the week to be mutually agreed between Monday-Friday on non-consecutive days. The role may require support at events on specific dates which will be confirmed two weeks in advance, and which will be considered working time. This appointment will be on a freelance contracted basis. Upon expiry, the contract will be reviewed with potential to renew.
Main duties
The main duties of the Project Administrator are:
- Project administration and logistics: Managing administration and supporting logistical requirements of different projects.
- Communications: Supporting and undertaking written, and verbal communication with participants, volunteers, and stakeholders.
- Marketing: Supporting marketing and promotion to engage interest and amplify impact.
- Volunteer support: Supporting volunteer recruitment, management and communications.
- Research: Undertaking research to support project development and delivery.
- Contributing ideas towards improving the work of Step Change Studios and its mission.
- Observing all policies and procedures set out by Step Change Studios including Adult and Child Safeguarding, equality policies, data protection policy, and codes of conduct.

Essential Criteria
- Excellent organisational and timekeeping skills, able to independently plan and meet deadlines. Self-motivated.
- Confident IT skills including Word, and Excel, social media platforms
- Creative thinking and problem solving, able to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work, able to switch between different projects and prioritise different demands with minimum supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Tailors communication to appropriate style and format. Builds good supportive relationships with dance participants, volunteers, teachers, and stakeholders
- Resilient in pursing and achieving outcomes.
- Clear, accurate written skills, able to produce concise written content.
