Customer Service Assistant – (Job ref: DAW001)

Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2026
Salary: £11,100.72 (£24,521 FTE)
Hours: 16.75 hours per week (working pattern below)
Location: Dawlish Library
Closing date: 9am on Tuesday 28th April 2026
Interview date: Wednesday 6th May 2026 at Dawlish Library

Working Pattern

Week 1 (18.5hrs)
Monday: 10:00am – 1:00pm (3)
Tuesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4)
Thursday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4)
Friday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4)
Saturday: 9:30am – 1:00pm (3.5)

Week 2 (15hrs)
Monday: 10:00am – 1:00pm (3)
Tuesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4)
Thursday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4)
Friday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (4)

Total Weekly Average: 16.75 hours

We’re looking for a friendly and proactive Customer Service Assistant to join the Dawlish library team.

In this varied role, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring everyone has a positive experience. You’ll confidently assist customers with enquiries, help them access library resources, and provide support with everyday PC and digital queries.
