Creative Learning Producer – Maternity Cover

Salary: Grade 4 – £29,284 to £33,111 FTE per annum.

Contract: 10 months fixed term Maternity Cover contract. 37 hours per week.

At York Museums Trust we are all about connecting people with the stories, history and culture of York and North Yorkshire. We aim to champion curiosity, inspire creativity and create opportunities for people to flourish as we collaborate with others to tell stories about our collections and places.

We are seeking a fix term Creative Learning Producer to join our team to help us to devise and deliver a packed, creative and high-quality audience engagement programme at the Yorkshire Museum, York Castle Museum and York Art Gallery. This programme will support us to deliver on our audience development plan and put inspiration and inclusion at the heart of our engagement activities.

You may have a background in museums, heritage, theatre or the wider cultural sector and will bring practical experience and knowledge of delivering public facing engagement activities and excellent project management skills. With a proactive approach, good understanding of audiences and how to engage with them, and an interest in the power of objects, collections and spaces to reveal more about the world around us, you will be highly organised and able to deliver a complex programme of activity across our sites. You will enjoy working in partnership with others and be experienced in commissioning creative practitioners to deliver impactful engagement which brings in more diverse audiences.
