Job Description

Would you like to join our board?

We are a small but mighty social enterprise driven by a strong belief in the power that and imagination can play in helping us collectively envision alternative futures, and with lots of exciting things on the horizion.

We are pioneers in the use of permaculture design to support and develop regenerative creative practice and civic engagement which is rooted in community and place. Everything the CIC does is grounded in the ethics of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share, and seeks to create space for connection, thinking and togetherness.

Our board meet four times a year, stewarding the CIC to make sure it is legally compliant, and also to ensure that the work that it does meets the company’s wider objectives. Generally there have not been many demands made of the board beyond these meetings / oversight and would anticipate that shoudn’t change going forward.

What we ask from you:
A commitment to attending quarterly board meetings (all online)
To serve on the Board for an initial 3-year term
Support the CIC beyond board meetings if needed (this has historically been a very small ask!)
Attend relevant training and activity to understand the values that underpin our work

What we hope to offer:
The opportunity for you to join a pro-active and committed group of folk who are interested to learn and grow together, and to explore what the possibilities of working, living and being in ways which are in positive service of all life might mean right now.
