Board Member, Interpretation

St Gabriel’s Pimlico is embarking on a major capital project to secure and reinterpret its Grade II* listed heritage for a wider and more diverse audience. We are seeking an Interpretation & Signage Specialist to join our Project Board, guiding the development of an inclusive, accessible, and engaging visitor journey across both indoor spaces and the new Eco Garden.

You will advise on interpretive themes, narrative structure, signage hierarchy, wayfinding, and multi format media, ensuring best practice in accessibility, inclusive design, and heritage storytelling. Working with architects, designers, activity planners, and community partners, you will help shape how local stories are gathered, shared, and embedded in the site’s future.

This voluntary role requires 4-6 hours per month and offers the chance to influence interpretation at a nationally significant heritage site with strong social, cultural, and environmental outcomes.
