The role:
Shakespeare’s Globe is seeking an Assistant Visitor Operations Manager to help deliver exceptional, inclusive experiences across our iconic site – from performances and tours to events and workshops.This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on operational management with people-focused leadership, ensuring our teams and spaces reflect the Globe’s values of care, collaboration, and excellence.
The skills:
- Experience in visitor or audience operations within a fast-paced, public-facing environment.
- Proven leadership skills and confidence managing frontline teams, including direct performance oversight.
- Experience acting as a Duty Manager or operational lead, with strong awareness of Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Calm, organised, and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstratable understanding of inclusive service and access needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with operational systems.
