Job Purpose
The role of arts assistant within the team will provide important assistance and co-ordination support to the delivery of our Arts programme at the charity.
Job profile
- Supporting the Director of Patient Environment and the Patient Environment team with general administrative duties.
- To support projects ensuring the smooth running of our programme.
- Assist with delivering arts projects across the programme.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Support the Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre programme delivery including liaising with staff, artists, partners and patients at West Middlesex Hospital.
- To support the continued growth and development of the arts programme by undertaking any additional tasks reasonably requested by the Arts Manager (WMUH).
- Support the maintenance of the art collection at West Middlesex hospital including artwork audit, artwork labelling and conservation monitoring.
- To manage a programme of maintenance for digital projects across the West Middlesex site, ensuring that interventions are working and problem-solving issues with technology as they arise.
- Support arts/design programme projects by assisting with consultation, liaising with suppliers, and assisting with installations at West Middlesex Hospital.
- Provide general administration support to the Arts Team where needed, arranging internal/external meetings, maintaining project plans, and answering general enquiries to the arts programme.
- Support the impact and evaluation programme aiding with research and impact measurement initiatives.
- Support the organisation and delivery of events such as talks, receptions and openings.
- Support colleagues, contributing to a happy and productive, values-driven working environment.

- Comfortable working in a hospital/clinical environment
Desirable
- Experience of using Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience of using the arts within a healthcare setting
