Job Summary
Job Description
At our Beckenham branch, the Art Teacher is responsible for delivering the classes and supporting running the studio, with time split across teaching and class preparation, and administration and promotion. Full training is provided in our teaching methods, with ongoing support from our central team and a national network of art teachers.
Working Hours & Schedule:
This is a part-time, term-time only role with a fixed weekly schedule:
26 hours per week on the following schedule:
Sunday 08:30 – 16:30
Monday 13:15 – 21:15
Wednesday 10:00 – 20:00
School Holidays (14 weeks/year): The same number of hours will be worked between Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with the schedule varying based on the needs of the studio.
The total of 26 hours per week is fixed, but the specific days and times can be discussed and adjusted during the recruitment process to suit the needs of the studio. The 10-hour Wednesday shift may also be split into two 5-hour shifts, where appropriate.
Salary: £23,660.00 per annum
Fixed salary, which will increase as the studio grows. Promotional opportunities are available every term.
Bonus: bonuses are awarded based on performance of the individual in the role. Full details provided in the probation period. Pro rata’d for roles taken partway through the year.

Job Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
– Holds an art degree or equivalent experience across a range of artistic mediums.
– Has experience teaching or working with children in an educational or creative setting.
– Possesses strong communication skills, including the ability to empathise with others, to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
– Exhibits a positive, proactive attitude and works well both independently and as part of a team.
