Financial Controller

Role Summary

The purpose of the post is to manage the financial control environment, cash flows and financial systems/processing for The Old Vic alongside ensuring all financial and statutory reporting requirements are met.

Person Specification
– Qualified CCAB accountant (original certificate required)

– Strong technical accounting skills

– Proven experience of managing audits – either directly as an auditor or on the client side

– Proven experience of improving financial processes and systems

– Proven line management/coaching experience

– Exemplary organisation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills

– Advanced Excel skills

– Strong interest in data and analytics

– A positive ‘can do’ approach and strong relationship building skills across departments.

– Acute attention to detail

– A proven ability to work effectively and efficiently

– Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
