Job Description
Thrive is seeking an experienced Creative Producer / Project Manager to help deliver its 12-month Residency Programme for Socially Engaged Practice. Working closely with Artistic Director Tessa Wills, you will coordinate artists, residencies, community activity, public sharing, communications, documentation and the development of a legacy piece.
This is a freelance role of approximately 45 days across 12 months, at £200/day (£9,000 total). Working is flexible, with activity concentrated around artist recruitment, residency periods and public activity. The role is hybrid, with some work on site in Meare, Somerset.
We are looking for someone with experience producing artist-led projects, residencies, performance, live art, community arts, socially engaged practice or complex creative programmes. Strong organisational, relational and communication skills are essential, alongside an understanding of artists’ creative research and inclusive approaches to participation.
Experience of ecological, rural, queer, neurodivergent or disability-led practice is welcome, but not essential.
Job Requirements
We are looking for an experienced producer/project manager with professional experience delivering creative projects, ideally including artist-led work, residencies, performance, live art, community arts or socially engaged practice.
You should have excellent organisational and communication skills, confidence working directly with artists and communities, and the ability to manage multiple timelines and relationships while retaining sight of artistic purpose.
An understanding of access and inclusive cultural participation is important. Experience of ecological, rural, queer, neurodivergent or disability-led practice is welcome. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of marginalisation or being outside dominant cultural structures.
