runningafter
Job Summary
Job Description
runningafter is developing an original comedy-drama radio play set around a fictional pirate radio station on the Irish border. The goal: something nuanced and precise about growing up in rural Ireland, not just green and orange, but the grey in between.
Expect illegal broadcasting, local callers, fake dance tracks, bad reception, rural myth, gossip, loneliness, performance, and the need to be heard. Aim: seven episodes.
This is unpaid collaborative development, we’re upfront about that. Any future release, credits, ownership, or next steps will be agreed with collaborators before anything goes public.
To apply: email [email protected] with a short intro and a bit about what you do.
Expected hours: Approximately 12 hours per week, flexible and self-directed.
Duration: 6 months – a chance to get properly stuck into building something from the ground up.
A deadline of 23:59 on 7th August means you must complete it by 11:59 pm on 7th August.
Job Requirements
Interest or experience in comedy, audio drama, sound design, music production, or writing/dramaturgy
Drawn to Irish border culture, DIY/pirate radio, character-led storytelling
Comfortable working in early, unfunded development with a small collaborative team
