Job Summary
Job Description
Forma is seeking an experienced curator to oversee the successful delivery of our artistic programme during a six-month period. Working closely with the Artistic Director, you will step into an existing programme of commissions, exhibitions, residencies and public events at an exciting point in the organisation’s development as Forma undertakes a period of strategic review.
Acting as the central point of contact for artists, partners and the Forma team, you will ensure that production, communications, budgets and timelines remain aligned, enabling ambitious projects to be delivered to the highest standard.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience working in a contemporary visual arts organisation who enjoys the practical delivery of complex artistic projects as much as shaping the conversations around them. You will be equally comfortable building relationships with internationally recognised artists and institutional partners as you are supporting an artist’s first public event at FormaHQ. Highly organised, collaborative and calm under pressure, you will enjoy managing multiple projects simultaneously and taking ownership of the many details that allow ambitious artistic ideas to become reality.
While this is primarily a programme delivery role, there will be opportunities to contribute creatively to the development of exhibitions, public events and artist projects. The successful candidate will bring strong curatorial judgement, excellent organisational skills and a collaborative approach, helping to create the conditions in which artists can realise ambitious work and develop sustainable careers.
