Job Summary

Responsible for the efficient day to day operation of DanceWest’s studio and classes administration. The post holder will ensure a welcoming, professional and inclusive environment for all users while supporting the management of classes, workshops and events.

Job Description

Studio Operations & Front of House
Act as the first point of contact for visitors, participants, artists, hirers and partners.
Ensure studios and public spaces are welcoming, safe, clean and well presented.
Manage bookings, studio schedules and access requirements.
Coordinate venue opening and closing procedures as required.
Support the smooth day to day running of the building and facilities.
Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries by phone, email and in person.
Class & Programme Coordination
Coordinate administration for classes, workshops, courses and events.
Manage registrations, enrolments, attendance records and participant communications.
Liaise with teaching artists and practitioners regarding schedules, resources and operational requirements.
Support participant engagement and retention through excellent customer service.
Monitor class attendance and maintain accurate programme records.
Assist with the delivery and evaluation of programmes and events.
Studio Hire Coordination
Manage studio hire enquiries, bookings and contracts.
Maintain accurate booking records and studio availability calendars.
Act as the main point of contact for hirers before, during and after their booking.
Ensure studio hires are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Support the development of studio hire income through excellent client relationships.

Job Requirements

Essential
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong customer service and relationship management experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good telephone manner and confident speaker.
Proficiency in Google Office, Microsoft Office and digital administration systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to inclusion, accessibility and excellent participant experience.
DBS checked.
Desirable
Experience working within arts, dance, theatre or community settings.
Experience using booking or ticketing systems (Plinth, Pebble, Eventbrite).
Experience coordinating freelancers, artists or volunteers.
Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
First aid trained.
Interest in dance, performance and community engagement.
