Gilden’s Art Gallery is hiring a full-time gallery assistant

Job Description

Located in Hampstead, Gilden’s Art Gallery specialises in Modern Fine Art of the early 20th century. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Gallery Assistant.

You will be responsible for: – The day-to-day running of the gallery – Face to face dealing with clients at the gallery. – Preparation for Art Fairs – Organising transports – Arranging for the importation of artworks – Installation of exhibitions in the gallery as well as at Art Fairs – Gallery administration: Uploading to platforms, maintaining platforms, Social media and photography of artworks. – Packing artworks..

The successful candidate will hold at least a bachelor’s degree in History of Art or a similar
qualification. He/She/They/etc will be an ambitious individual who has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in one or several other languages will be
advantageous.
Prior experience as a gallery assistant/Intern or auction coordinator would be an advantage,
as well as prior knowledge of original prints and works on paper of the Modern era.
Availability to work 5 days per week, including one day at the weekend.
