Trafalgar Entertainment are seeking an experienced Deputy Head of Sound for The Ballad of Johnny and June UK Tour (Fixed Term Contract).

Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys, The Who’s Tommy), The Ballad of Johnny and June celebrates American music icons Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, and asks what makes two people stay together or come apart. Told through the eyes of their son, John Carter Cash, the new musical features over two dozen classic songs, including “I’ve Been Everywhere,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Jackson,” “I Walk the Line,” and many more.

For this role, you must be in possession of a valid UK passport and/or proof of the right to work in the UK.

Job Requirements

To work with the Head of Sound and Sound Assistant, Associate Sound Designers, and other Production team members to realise the production’s sound design to the highest standards.
To work collaboratively with the Head of Sound and Sound Assistant to facilitate fit-ups, technical rehearsals, mixing the show and running the onstage monitor mix track.
To work within time frames set out within the weekly tour schedule alongside the Head of Sound, Sound Assistant, and other backstage crew.
To actively contribute to the effective operation of the Sound department.
To support the maintenance of sound equipment in collaboration with the Head of Sound, Production Manager and Production Sound Engineers.
To personally and with other staff ensure compliance with all safety procedures and statutory regulations.
