Skaped Trustee

We are currently looking for at least two new board members who share our values and commitment to Skaped’s growth.

We are looking for people with a background in HR, community organising, fundraising, and business development/or social entrepreneurship, with a particular passion for social change.

About us: Skaped is an educational artivist charity based in East London. Our work centres providing opportunities for young people and bringing them together to build genuine connections that challenge isolation and inequality.

We are rooted in our community, together with partner organisations, we run programmes, workshops, and events that invite participants to learn more about their human rights and the shared struggle toward collective liberation. We believe in tackling issues at their root, and this work requires an approach that introduces young people to the complex systems that shape their lived reality of migration, class, and race.

To do this, we use the creative arts as a method, helping young people to develop confidence, critical thinking, and the ability to understand and challenge the systems shaping their lives. We strive to foster self-expression and transformative thinking, whilst communicating complex ideas.

We aim to be unconventional, creating an organisation that prioritises care and acceptance both within our activism and general workspace.

We aim to be prominent and committed to building a truly inclusive and diverse organisation. We welcome applications from individuals from all walks of life, particularly those who have lived experiences of the migration system, racism, sexism, and/or marginalisation in any form.
