Persona Arts

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity to join a small but ambitious opera arts charity based in Walsall and the West Midlands on a freelance basis.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to support a small, but ambitious opera arts charity based in Walsall and the West Midlands, supporting its administration and development efforts. Our mission is to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds across the West Midlands through opera and choral arts performances and educational programs.

As our organisation grows, we seek an enthusiastic team player eager to develop their project management, administrative, and communication skills. Knowledge or interest in classical music, opera, and choral arts is essential, and familiarity with the West Midlands area is desirable. Strong organisational and IT skills are also necessary. In this role, you will work closely with our Artistic Director and board, applying your existing skills while building new ones in arts administration.

This position is freelance, so you will need to be self-employed and handle your own tax and national insurance responsibilities. Currently, we require support to connect with new schools, promote our profile, and assist with developing a schools and community workshop programme based on our groundbreaking success with The Flying Dutchman production. This is a flexible role with autonomy over working hours, focused on agreed deliverables and deadlines.

Fee: £25 per hour plus any relevant travel expenses and tasks reimbursements
