Job Description

The North Wing is home to the Great Hall and the Hogarth Stair, featuring works by William Hogarth, and operates as a unique venue for events, filming, and corporate functions in the City of London.
Role
Reporting to the CEO and Sales & Marketing/Commercial Manager, the Operations Executive will lead on the planning and delivery of events within the North Wing. Acting as the primary operational contact, you will ensure all events are delivered safely, efficiently, and to an exceptional standard befitting this historic venue.
Sales & Client Management
Act as a key liaison for clients, understanding requirements and ensuring a seamless customer journey. Support event handovers from the sales team, maintain accurate client data in line with GDPR, and contribute to CRM management and post-event feedback collection. Assist with marketing activity and promote the venue as a cultural destination.

Operations
Lead logistical planning and on-site delivery of events. Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and freelance staff, ensuring all parties are briefed and managed effectively. Oversee all pre-event administration and act as the main contact on event days, ensuring high standards of service and delivery.

Compliance & Venue Standards
Ensure full compliance with licensing, health and safety, and venue policies. Maintain high presentation standards, manage cleaning schedules, and ensure all supplier documentation is in place. Support fire safety procedures, sustainability practices, and protect the integrity of the building.

Process & Collaboration
Develop and implement operational procedures, lead post-event reviews, and drive continuous improvement. Work closely with internal teams to coordinate activity across the venue.

Finance & Administration
Support invoicing, supplier payments, and budget monitoring. Liaise with finance teams and maintain accurate records using systems such as Xero and CRM platforms.

Job Requirements

Proven experience in event management and customer service, ideally within a venue, heritage site, or high-end hospitality environment. Strong ability to understand and respond to diverse client needs, with excellent communication and relationship management skills. Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors, and event logistics to a high standard. Good working knowledge of health and safety, licensing, and compliance requirements. Confident, professional, and solutions-focused approach, with strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work under pressure, including evenings and weekends as required. Proficient in systems such as CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot), Xero, and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive, flexible mindset.
