Royal Northern College of Music
Job Summary
Job Description
RNCM Young Artists is a comprehensive programme of study designed for young pop musicians aged 11-18. Launched in 2022, this initiative has a social inclusion agenda which is key to the aspirations and purpose of RNCM Young Artists: providing opportunities for young people to access high quality music education and enabling them to explore creative pathways into further study and the music industry.
The RNCM is seeking to appoint an outstanding guitar tutor to deliver high-quality and inspiring individual, small group and band tuition with a skill-based approach that develops in-depth technical and theoretical knowledge and encourages independent learning. Using extensive and wide-ranging industry knowledge to develop musical ideas, aspirations, and cultivate artistic development, the post-holder will act as a positive role model and oversee the development of the Young Artists through the curriculum into independent, innovative, high-quality musicians who are confident performers. Alongside the Head of Young Artists, they will ensure effective deployment of student mentors to support the code of conduct and uphold RNCM’s safeguarding policy to the highest standard.
