We’re looking for experienced and passionate workshop facilitators who are based in London, have availability for after-school clubs (between 3-5pm) and are looking to build up their portfolio of freelance work with a reputable company.

Moving Waves is an award winning company running performing classes and creative workshops at schools, nurseries, care homes and community groups across London. We strongly and passionately believe that the practice of any art form is a powerful tool that can transforming people’s lives and develop vital life skills.

We are looking for experienced workshop facilitators to join our dynamic and diverse team of freelancers. We are particularly interested in hearing from facilitators who are confident and experienced in leading workshops in at least two of the below disciplines:

– Drama

– Dance

– Singing

– Musical Theatre

– Art

– Yoga

– Storytelling

Most workshops are 60mins and working hours vary from 1-10 hours a week (or ad-hoc, cover basis) depending on availability. This position would suit a freelancer looking to build up more part-time work and interested in the field of applied arts.

Pay is £30 – £35 p/h, depending on experience.

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Successful applicants will be invited to the second and final stage of our recruitment process: a Training Day, scheduled for the 9th January. Please indicate in your application if you are likely to be away on this date.

Job Requirements

Essential:

– Experience in working with vulnerable groups and/or children

– Good availability for after-school clubs (between 3-5pm, Monday – Friday)

– Passion about using the arts to make a difference in people’s lives

– Creative, Confident and Motivated

– Able to adapt to different situations, work independently and think on your feet

– A positive attitude and friendly approach with a sense of humour

– Willing to travel to different London locations for classes

– Happy to work on a self-employed basis
