Woodwind Instructor, Horsforth Music Centre

We provide tuition to many thousands of people across the city, through a combination of school lessons, youth music groups and community Music Centres.

Horsforth Music Centre runs on Saturday mornings during term time (27 weeks Sept-June) and provides a wide range of tuition and ensemble opportunities for children and adults. We are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced woodwind tutor to start in September 2025.

The work involves a mixture of 1:1 and small group settings. 3.5 hours’ work is available, 9am-12.30pm. The majority of pupils are learning either flute or clarinet, but familiarity with the entire woodwind family would be beneficial. Ability to teach piano may also be useful.

Pay is on a salaried term-time only basis, spread out evenly across 12 months. As an hourly rate, this works out at approximately £23-£25 per hour of teaching.
