Performing Arts Teachers & School Staff – September 2025
Locations: Balham, Streatham, Wimbledon, Mitcham/Morden & Sutton
Are you passionate about inspiring young people through the performing arts? Jigsaw Performing Arts is looking for dedicated, energetic, and talented individuals to join our team from September 2025!
We’re currently recruiting for the following roles:

Jigsaw Performing Arts has been delivering high-quality drama, singing, and dance classes for 30 years. Our mission is to help children and young people build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

We need enthusiastic, reliable professionals who:
Have experience teaching or working, or interest in performing arts
Are passionate about working with children and young people
Bring energy, creativity, and commitment to every session
Are confident in managing classes and creating a positive learning environment

When: Saturday and/or Sunday mornings. Sessions are generally 3 hours of teaching

Where: Balham, Streatham, Wimbledon, Mitcham/Morden & Sutton

Commitment: Autumn Term (Sept-Dec), with potential for ongoing work

Teaching wages start from £25 per hour depending on experience. 3 hours available per location.
Job Requirements
(These will vary depending on the role, from Assistant to Teacher to Manager)

Experience in Performing Arts – Strong skills in drama, dance, or singing (essential for teaching roles).

Teaching/Leadership Experience – Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or performing arts setting (preferred for teaching and management roles).

Creativity and Energy – Ability to engage and inspire students in a fun and supportive environment.

Reliability and Professionalism – Punctual, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality sessions.

Team Player – Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth running of the school.

Safeguarding – All staff must complete an Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one) and undertake safeguarding training.

Availability – Saturdays and/or Sundays during term time (morning sessions).
