Job Summary
Smart Entertainment are seeking an experienced Wardrobe No. 2 for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, the new live version of Douglas Adams’ mind-blowingly imaginative comedy (mis)adventure, coming to Riverside Studios this Autumn.
Job Description
Production Dates:
Rehearsals: 20th October – 8 th November (Mon – Sat)
Tech: 10th November -14th November
Dress: 14th November
Previews: 15th November – Tuesday 25th November (Tues – Sun) Opening Night: 26th November
Shows: 27th November – 22nd February (Tues – Sun)
All dates are subject to change.
Job Responsibilities
- To work on a fast-paced immersive show consisting of 14 cast members across three spaces
- To assist in the planning and maintenance of all costuming and the smooth running of the costume department
- To assist in the alteration of costumes during the technical rehearsal process
- To assist the Head of Wardrobe with the washing and maintenance of all costume for the show
- To organise and assist in the quick changes of multiple cast members across multiple spaces
- To assist the Head of Wardrobe in maintaining and updating the wardrobe budget as and when required
- To log and replenish all hair and makeup supplies for cast when required
- To maintain all wigs and prosthetics for the cast
- To assist certain cast members with the application of wigs and makeup when required
- To maintain accurate cue sheets and other relevant paperwork
- To execute any and all other duties required of a Wardrobe No.2
