Job Requirements
As part of our Healing Arts for All project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are looking for two dedicated volunteers to assist our lead artist through 12 weeks of creative workshops specifically focused on the stories and lives of the South Asian community that worked at Brierfield Mill, an integral part of Pendle’s extensive industrial history.
In our previous phases we have explored surface pattern, sound art, photography, mixed media, illustration and textiles, with visits to Lancashire Archives to give historical contexts and an insight into archival materials.
The overall project is due to finish in 2027, where there will be a final exhibition of works made throughout the project by all participants, volunteers and creative practitioners.
