Job Description
As a Trustee, you will help guide the strategic direction of the charity, ensuring we remain true to our mission, financially sustainable and well governed.
Trustees work collectively to:
Set the charity’s strategic direction.
Ensure good governance and legal compliance.
Oversee financial sustainability and risk management.
Support and challenge the executive team.
Act as ambassadors for Music in Action and its mission.
Board meetings will be held quarterly, with occasional additional meetings or events as required.
Who we’re looking for:
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and levels of board experience. A passion for improving lives through music is more important than previous trustee experience.
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with expertise in areas such as:
Education
Charity governance
Finance or accountancy
Marketing and communications
HR and people management
Arts and culture
Community engagement

Job Requirements
Approximately 4 hours’ time commitment per month, including quarterly Board meetings and occasional events.
