Trustee – The Chamberlain Highbury Trust

The Chamberlain Highbury Trust (CHT) is an independent charitable trust (registered charity no. 1169845) based in Birmingham, with a mission to preserve and restore Highbury Hall and its grounds and to give them a sustainable future. The Trust is led by a Board of Trustees, working alongside a small team of freelance staff and volunteers.

CHT is embarking on a major restoration of the Highbury gardens in 2026, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and is planning for the future restoration of Highbury Hall. We offer a Youth Leadership education and training programme, hold Open Days in the mansion and gardens, and run a variety of events and activities at Highbury.

We have vacancies on our Trust Board and are looking to appoint Trustees who share our vision for Highbury and will help us meet our restoration project objectives. We are seeking people who share our passion for heritage, young people’s leadership, and Birmingham’s diverse communities, and are particularly interested in recruiting individuals with experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Business acumen, particularly experience of running a visitor attraction
• Events management and marketing
• Fundraising, managing relationships with donors, and attracting sponsorship
• Financial management, budgeting, and accounts
• Landscape and gardens management and maintenance
