Job Description

Managing the automation track, ensuring safe and consistent operation across venues, including maintenance and repairs

Leading the stage crew and coordinating with local venue teams during load-ins, performances, and load-outs.
- Overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of scenery, props, and stage equipment.
- Collaborating with other departments (lighting, sound, automation, wardrobe) to ensure smooth technical integration.
- Adapting stage plans to suit different venues and advancing technical requirements with each location.
- Coordinating and supervising the safe and efficient packing of trucks during load-outs.
- Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conducting regular inspections and minor repairs of scenic elements and equipment.
- Keeping detailed records of venue-specific notes, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Supporting the Production Manager and Company Manager with logistics, scheduling, and crew coordination.
Job Requirements

Well versed in operating the Absolute system
-
Proven experience as Head of Stage or similar role on touring theatre productions.
- Strong knowledge of stagecraft, rigging, and theatrical equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to fast-changing environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with health and safety legislation
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining production standards.
