Job Summary

We are looking for a Sound No. 2 to join the Sound team from 11 May 2026. This will involve a handover process from the UK Tour Sound team before the West End run.

Job Description

Sound No. 2 will be primarily responsible for the stage-side running of the sound, including fitting and monitoring of the radio mics as well as offering cover to the Sound No. 1.

Thursday 25 June: Dress rehearsal/ Preview 1
Saturday 12 September 2026: Final performance

Salary
£800 per performance week.
This fee is a buy-out of some overtime, bank holiday payments and EPK Usage.

Job Requirements

– Experience in live theatre sound, including radio mics, mixing and show tracks
– Ability to deputise for Sound No.1 and support team supervision
– Strong communication and collaborative working across departments
– Technical knowledge of sound equipment, maintenance and fault-finding
– Ability to respond calmly to live performance and technical issues
– Experience preparing for daily cast changes and supporting performer needs
– Availability to attend rehearsals, technical, dress and understudy rehearsals, performances, get-ins, fit-ups, get-outs and emergency calls as required
– Understanding of Health & Safety and theatre working practices
– Organised, reliable and proactive approach
– Commitment to a respectful, safe and inclusive working environment
