Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Theatre Technician to support the technical services department at Stanley Arts with the fit-up, technical rehearsals, show run, and get-out of our seasonal pantomime production of Cinderella. It is offered on a freelance, fixed-term basis for a period of 3 weeks, with a total of 133 hours.
Total Pay: £1995 (This will be paid on receipt once the run is complete
This is a hands-on, collaborative role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced live theatre environment and has a good working knowledge of backstage operations.
Availability required from Mon 8 Dec – Sun 28 December

Job Requirements
- Interest in the arts
- Previous experience working on theatre productions, ideally in a pantomime or live performance setting
- Good working knowledge of technical theatre practices (e.g. basic lighting, sound, rigging, or stage management)
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and follow show cues accurately
- Able to work shifts as required by the show run (including evenings & weekends)
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Work in collaboration with the Stanley Arts team, including the Senior Technician, Duty Managers, FOH staff, artists, and creatives for a successful pantomime run
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe practice in a performance environment (e.g. Manual Handling, Working at Height)
- Experience in operating QLab
