Job Summary
Job Description
Sound Operation & Engineering: Take the lead on all sound-related aspects of productions, including setup, live mixing, playback, and de-rigging. Ensure the delivery of professional-grade audio for performances and events.
Dante Network Management: Configure and maintain Dante audio networks and interfaces. Troubleshoot networked audio systems to ensure seamless digital audio communication throughout the venue.
Lighting Support: Assist with the rigging, focusing, and operation of theatrical lighting systems. Work from lighting plots to realise creative designs.
Stage & Show Support: Contribute to stage management tasks including show calls, cue running, and ensuring smooth transitions during performances. Assist with scene changes and performer support.
Technical Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance across all technical systems, reporting and resolving faults in sound, lighting, and stage equipment.
Health & Safety: Ensure safe working practices at all times. Participate in risk assessments and maintain a secure and compliant technical workspace.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical colleagues, creative teams, production staff, and performers to support the delivery of diverse events and productions.
Job Requirements
Sound Expertise: Proven experience in sound operation and engineering for theatre or live events, including working knowledge of digital mixing desks and playback systems.
Dante Proficiency: Experience configuring and troubleshooting Dante audio networks using Dante Controller and related hardware/software.
Technical Versatility: Strong working knowledge of lighting systems, basic rigging, and stage management practices.
Live Production Experience: Experience working in live performance environments, with an ability to stay calm and solve problems in real time.
Collaborative Attitude: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a flexible and positive approach to supporting a busy and varied technical department.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by the performance schedule.
