Job Description

Theatre Supervisor role also offers a unique opportunity for someone looking to take the next step within the creative and theatre industry. Alongside supervising within the venue, the successful candidate will gain immediate hands-on experience across directing, casting, marketing, producing, creative development and wider theatre operations connected to the venue’s producing work. It is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious early-career creative hoping to one day become an Artistic Director, Director or Producer, offering invaluable real-world experience and industry exposure from day one. While the role is entry-level in pay, the level of involvement, responsibility and creative opportunity makes it an exceptional stepping stone for somebody passionate about building a long-term career in theatre and the arts.

Hourly Pay: £13.10 per hour

Job Requirements

Supervising the theatre venue during performances, rehearsals and events
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the theatre
Welcoming artists, audiences, creatives and visiting companies
Assisting with basic front of house, bar and venue operations where needed
Supporting get-ins, get-outs and room set ups
Helping with marketing activity, including social media, print distribution and audience engagement
Supporting producing admin, scheduling, casting and creative development where appropriate
Liaising with visiting companies and internal teams in a professional and friendly manner
Helping to ensure the venue is safe, welcoming and well presented
Taking on additional tasks connected to the theatre’s wider producing and creative work
