Job Description
The Theatre Practitioner will play a key role in delivering Odd Arts’ Wellbeing Your Way programme.
The programme supports individuals who may be experiencing mental health challenges to improve
their wellbeing through creative practice. It delivers a mix of small group and one-to-one sessions, in
both community and prison settings, using drama-based and creative approaches to build
confidence, resilience, and connection. The role combines workshop delivery, project development,
and administration to ensure that participants are empowered, engaged, and supported. Successful
completion of internal training can enable progression to Lead Practitioner, increasing both
responsibility and pay within the organisation.

Essential Criteria
Experience of facilitating or co-facilitating creative, drama-based, or participatory
workshops.
Experience of, or strong interest in, working one-to-one and in small group settings.
Ability to engage and motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly those
facing barriers, marginalisation, or mental health challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with
participants.
Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to maintaining safe, inclusive
spaces.
Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage administration, coordination,
and project delivery simultaneously.
Ability to remain resilient, reflective, and solution focused when facing setbacks or
challenges.
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and organisations.
