the Albany
Job Summary
Job Description
Could you be a member of the Albany’s new Campaign Board?
The Albany is currently at the masterplan stage of a £20m capital building development that will transform and refurbish the existing building, securing a sustainable future for the Albany, its audiences and communities. The current building is used throughout the day for a variety of uses by artists, individuals and residents, and is well loved by local communities, with an annual footfall of over 180,000 people.
The project will improve and update how the building appears and connects to the outside world, making it fit for the future. A more welcoming entrance will make the caf bar and garden visible from the street, a new purpose built 150 seat studio theatre and creative workspace space will be an asset to artists and creatives in South-East London and beyond.
Whilst we never aim to create a ‘shiny new’ building, the refurbishment will radically update the building’s appearance so that it can take its place as a key landmark building for Deptford and Lewisham.
