We’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the tools as much as they enjoy making sure everything behind the scenes is organised, safe and running smoothly.
This role would suit an experienced theatre technician who is ready to take wider responsibility for the technical and building operation of a small, ambitious producing theatre.
You’ll need strong practical theatre experience, good organisational and communication skills, experience of managing people and budgets, and a sound working knowledge of Health & Safety. Experience of theatre and building maintenance is also important.
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent relevant Health & Safety training is required, or you must be willing to complete IOSH Managing Safely within three months of starting. You should also be willing to undertake First Aid and Fire Marshal training.
Job Requirements
Hours: 40 hours per week. The balance between scheduled administrative time and operating technician shifts is variable across the year, averaging approximately 50/50. During performance weeks the postholder will normally work a minimum of four duty technician shifts per week.
