Job Summary

I am seeking a reliable and adaptable Support Worker to assist me as a Theatre Director and Community Arts practitioner in my day-to-day professional activities. This role is funded through Access to Work and involves both practical and communication support.

Job Description

The Support Worker will play a key role in enabling clear communication, managing organisational tasks, and providing occasional practical assistance. The role will suit someone who is organised, patient, and confident working in creative, educational, and community contexts.

Ideally looking for someone who has a good understanding of AuDHD experiences and Access to Work.

Job Requirements

Person Specification

Essential:
Familiarity with Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets, and Zoom.
Patient, calm, and adaptable communicator.
Comfortable repeating and rephrasing information and using alternative ways to communicate.
Strong writing skills, with ability to be concise and clear.
Confident listening to, using, and typing up voice notes.
Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
Experience working in support roles.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Flexible and able to adapt support to changing weekly needs.
Available to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Desirable:
Experience of theatre, education, or community arts settings.
Understanding of creative processes and collaborative work.
Understanding of AuDHD experiences
Familiarity with Access to Work and Arts Council England
Driver’s License and access to a car
