STAGE MANAGER – SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN

Featuring Andrew Wright’s high-energy choreography, with additional choreography by Jaye Elster, and Simon Higlett’s spectacular set design – including more than 14,000 litres of water on stage every night – the production combines the charm, romance and wit of one of the world’s best-loved films.
Singin’ in the Rain features the iconic MGM score, including Good Morning, Make ‘Em Laugh, Moses Supposes and, of course, Singin’ in the Rain. The production is directed by Jonathan Church.
This is a remount of the production which previously played in the West End and has subsequently toured internationally, including seasons in Canada, Dubai and China.
The production will rehearse in London before opening at the Sheffield Crucible, where it will run from 26 November 2026 to 16 January 2027. The Sheffield season will be managed by the theatre’s in-house Stage Management team.
The touring Stage Manager will join the production for a handover week in Sheffield during the final week of the run, before taking responsibility for the production as it begins its UK and Ireland tour.
The production will then tour to 21 venues across the UK and Ireland from January to September 2027 and will be managed by Jonathan Church Theatre Productions. The touring company will be supported by a Company Manager. The Stage Management team will consist of Stage Manager (this role), Deputy Stage Manager, and Assistant Stage Managers. The touring company will also consist of full cast and musicians, technical and production team across all departments, including some team members focusing on the move between locations.
