Job Summary

Seeking a stage manager for the Olivier Award-winning “Brainiac Live!” for the Butlins tour 2026. “Brainiac Live!” is a carefully scripted, high-energy, quick-paced science theatre show which includes a series of fun-filled stunts, demonstrations, and experiments.

Job Description

The show will be touring all three Butlins resorts across all school holidays in 2026 (excluding Christmas). The stage manager will be on the book and call the show and work with the Company Stage Manager to support the production across the tour with all technical aspects of the show. The stage manager will be required to help set up and strike the set and experiments before and after each show.

DATES

Rehearsals: 6 Days between 16th – 24th January TBC

Technical & Dress Rehearsals: 27th – 29th January & 9th-10th February

Show Dates: School Holidays

13th – 22nd February

29th March – 16th April

22nd – 31st May

17th July – 30th August

16th – 29th October

HOURS

Rehearsals approx 10-6pm

Shows: 5pm & 8pm plus travel time

FEE

£775-900 per week

Additional: Accommodation will be provided at all Butlins locations throughout the tour. Access to dining will be available on site at each venue . The company will share driving the company car but will be compensated for travel to and from the car pick up point at the beginning and end of each tour period.

Job Requirements

Will be on book and operating Q Lab for the show; will work with the company stage manager to provide all technical support to the show during running and also assisting with get ins and get outs. This role will be required to drive so only if candidate has a valid UK driving license. All five members of the team will be expected to drive and share the driving of the company car.
