Job Description
The Sound & Video Resources Technician (Workshops) is a senior technician role based within our Sound & Video Resources team. The role is primarily based within our workshops, storage/prep, events spaces and sound studios.
You will play a pivotal role in the daily operations surrounding supporting workshop activities, events and, on occasion, sound studio recording and editing. The role suits individuals with a wide-ranging knowledge of sound and video practices, the equipment used and a great overall technical knowledge of electrical systems.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Experience in a theatre, hire-shop or warehouse preparing equipment to a given brief.
A good technical knowledge of sound and video equipment including its maintenance and repair
Experience building and designing racks housing sound and video equipment.
Experience of operating sound & video systems for events.
A knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation including ISITEE, BS7909, working at height and risk assessment regulations
