The hugely successful UK & International Tour of smash-hit musical SIX is looking for a Sound 2 to join the company on a fixed-term contract from September 2026.

Job Description

Kenny Wax Productions is looking for a motivated Sound No. 2 to join the touring production of SIX The Musical. The successful candidate will have relevant and transferrable experience as Sound No. 2/Mix Cover or equivalent on similar productions, and must have the right to live and work in the UK.

SIX the Musical has sound design by Paul Gatehouse. It tours a Digico SD10T, comprehensive D&B audiotechnik system with a Sony radio microphone system and Shure in-ear monitors.

Contract Type: Full-time, fixed-term

Dates of Employment: September 2026 until 23rd May 2027

Typical show schedule (subject to change: performances are 6 days per week either Monday – Saturday or Tuesday – Sunday depending on each venue’s schedule

Salary: £900 per playing week, plus Touring Allowance and Travel Payments

Responsible To: Sound No. 1, General Manager

Job Requirements

-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with excellent attention to detail
-Experience working with technology especially digital radio microphones and in-ear monitoring systems
-A proactive and flexible attitude
-Previous experience of UK Touring
-Previous experience of working as part of a team
-The ability to work well with actors and creative team
-The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise
-Awareness of current health & safety legislation
-Strong working knowledge of UK Theatre & SOLT Equity and BECTU agreements
