Would you like to work as part of a dynamic campaigning team? Do you want to make a real difference by helping make the world a safer place for future generations?

The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) has been campaigning for nuclear disarmament since the 1950s, and we need your help to ensure our campaign continues to get our message out. We are looking for someone to help with the youth & student outreach work in Yorkshire, with a focus on our digital branding to ensure our message is reaching new audiences.

We are particularly keen on finding someone who is confident in front of a camera, to help us develop our video content on platforms like Tiktok & Instagram. If you know anyone that could be suitable for this position, please get in touch with our office: [email protected]

This would be an ideal opportunity for a student studying Politics, Media, Drama, Peace or International Relations.

Please note, this role is unpaid but we can cover expenses.

Our office is based in Bradford, but you will be able to do the role remotely from anywhere within the Yorkshire region. It will involve travelling throughout Yorkshire, and any travel costs will be reimbursed.

Work schedule will vary, but is estimated at 20-30 hours per month.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a student / young person between 18-30 years old
  • Familiarity with creating video content for Instagram & Tiktok
  • Recording equipment e.g. a phone with a good quality camera
  • A good understanding of trending content
  • Comfortable in front of a camera and speaking to others in-person
  • Familiarity with the peace movement
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to broad audiences
  • Active and broad understanding of local, national and international political issues
  • Commitment to the aims of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament
  • Ability to network and maintain professional relationships with others
  • Resident in the Yorkshire region
