Job Summary
Smashed Avocado Productions is seeking an experienced set and costume designer for the R&D of Spare Goose. We are looking for someone who ideally has a background working in new writing and has worked through the research and development phase of a play.
Job Description
This R&D phase includes exploratory days in the rehearsal room, design development time, presentation of design to actors and collaborators, sourcing basic props and costumes within a limited budget and culminates in an industry sharing where you may potentially present design concepts to our industry audience.
You need to be based in or able to commute to Nottingham.
Job Requirements
You will need to be available during the project dates below:
- Thursday 7 August to Friday 22 August: up to 3 days R&D, specific days dependent on availability of team.
- Tuesday 26 August to Wednesday 3 September: R&D/rehearsals for the sharing, you will need to be available for 3-4 days during this period
- Thursday 4 and Friday 5 September: Industry sharings where you may be required to present design concepts
