Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Technician to join our Production team on a full time permanent contract. The Southbank Centre Production team looks after all the technical needs for all the events that are on our site. Under the overall direction of the Production Managers and Technical Supervisors, to play a significant role in the production team in implementing the technical requirements of promoters, artists and other key stakeholders to ensure a safe, smooth and professional presentation of the technical requirements of each event wherever Southbank Centre activities are taking place. Job Requirements

Obtains a thorough working knowledge and experience of the safety requirements, operation and handling of technical equipment for the disciplines covered by the Production Department (including but not limited to, stage, lighting, sound, rigging and AV) plus power distribution, musical instruments and back-line equipment and is highly competent in one of the aforementioned disciplines. Demonstrable knowledge of Safe Working Practices and relevant Health & Safety regulation, including the ability to carry out risk assessments. Able to understand and interpret plans and scale drawings Is able to efficiently prioritise their work and able to work calmly under pressure and multitask. Professional and effective in their communication skills and works collaboratively.
