Job Summary

Rees & Co is looking for a Senior Account Director to join its London team. They will be responsible for delivering creative and wide-reaching media campaigns for a dedicated portfolio of international clients.

Job Description

The ideal candidate for the Senior Account Director role will have an excellent network of high-level international media contacts, with a focus on English-language and European media, as well as a wider network of industry contacts. They will be a highly organised and outgoing self-starter with a passion for the visual arts and connecting people, excellent time management, and a rigorous approach to campaign research and delivery. They will have extensive experience delivering major press campaigns, including exhibition, profile-raising and news campaigns, as well as experience managing large-scale press trips both domestically and internationally.

The Senior Account Director will be expected to work in close contact and collaboration with the agency Founder, Director and other (Senior) Account Directors to share information and learnings across the company. The role will be supported by a dedicated Account Executive, who will be task managed but not line managed by the Senior Account Director.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of five years’ experience working in visual arts PR.
  • Extensive experience delivering major press campaigns. Equal proficiency securing features, previews, interviews, reviews, news and round-ups, and the ability to deliver exhibition, profile-raising and news campaigns.
  • Track record of managing large-scale domestic and international press trips, including budgets.
  • An excellent network of high-level international arts and culture media contacts and non-media cultural advocates.
  • An excellent knowledge of the art world and the international cultural landscape, and an understanding of wider trends and news.
  • Wide knowledge of historical and contemporary visual art.
  • Extensive experience working successfully with artists and curators, building trusted relationships with the same.
  • Extensive experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex, high-profile projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and time management skills.
