Scenic Designer & Maker: Winter Wonderland Workshop

TaleGate Theatre is inviting expressions of interest from a Scenic Designer & Maker to help us create an enchanting Winter Wonderland Workshop for families this Christmas. This is an exciting opportunity to design and dress immersive theatrical spaces in a pantomime-inspired style, blending custom-made scenic pieces with cleverly sourced or found items to produce a magical festive experience.

We are seeking a creative professional with:

• Experience in pantomime-style scenery and props
• Experience in immersive experience environments
• Experience designing durable, family-friendly props and environments that can withstand audience interaction, support hands-on play and meet the practical needs of performers
• Proven ability to dress spaces with attention to detail and atmosphere
• Skills in both scenic construction and creative sourcing to achieve high-impact visuals within budget
• Confidence in collaborating with our project manager and wider team during the build and fit up
