Job Description
The Project Lead sits at the centre of our operations and is thus essential to many of our programs.
The role coordinates and administers all of our projects, ensuring they run effectively and efficiently for all those involved and data is collected for necessary reporting to assess feedback and outcomes. It is, by design, a fast-paced and multifaceted role drawing on skills in project management, external and internal communications, monitoring & evaluation, and data-based decision-making.
Job Requirements
Minimum GCSE-level education with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role. Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills, with ability to prioritise and work both independently and collaboratively. Passionate about supporting young people, with experience working in fast-paced environments and engaging diverse groups. Confident in written and verbal communication with multiple stakeholders, proactive in contributing ideas and embracing change. Demonstrated ability to manage safeguarding concerns, with knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding, and diversity practices. High attention to detail and proficiency in Google Workspace required; knowledge of Upshot CRM is desirable. Candidates should be punctual, responsible, and open to flexible working hours (including evenings and weekends). Willingness to undertake enhanced DBS clearance, safeguarding training, and continued personal development is essential. Commitment to YUAF’s values and mission is a must.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for all project-related activities, coordinating logistics for outreach with and without the Studio Bus. Liaise with delivery staff, secure locations, arrange site visits, and ensure projects are fully resourced. Collaborate with Marketing to create and distribute promotional materials. Coordinate session plans, staff contracts, schedules, and equipment needs, including oversight of Studio Bus maintenance and cleaning. Facilitate pre/post-session briefings and weekly debriefs, ensuring clear communication across teams. Support safeguarding practices, health and safety, and project administration. Liaise with the Ops & Programmes Advisor to align monitoring and evaluation with project goals. Provide regular updates on engagement, and ensure all documentation (risk assessments, SLAs, contracts) is up to date and shared appropriately. Maintain ongoing communication with partners and internal teams to deliver impactful, youth-focused programming.
