Full-time (41 hours per week) Fixed term (6 months maternity cover) £35,165 per annum Application deadline: 12pm (midday) on 1 June 2025

Job Description

About the role:

To undertake research into, document, and make publicly accessible the Nile valley collections, particularly archaeological collections from Sudan and Nubia, in support of the Museum’s masterplan, the Museum Operating Plan and all relevant Museum strategies. To improve their accessibility via the Museum’s digital online platforms.

Job Requirements

About you:

  • BA/BSc (or equivalent) in relevant subject
  • Experience of documentation
  • Some expertise in the archaeology of the Nile valley, Nubia and Sudan
  • Some experience of working with a relevant collection, museum documentation and museum databases
  • Some experience of management issues (people, projects, budgets) (desirable)
