Colchester and Ipswich Museums
Job Summary
Job Description
To create an artist installation to fit within one of the original Victorian display classes in the museum’s balcony gallery. Work could be 2D or 3D, see attachment document below.
Whilst exploring serious themes, the artwork should be accessible and appeal to a range of visitors. The person appointed will need to work closely with our curators to come up with an appropriate concept and design taking selected objects into account but there is plenty of scope for the artist’s own vision. Consultation with our Project Designers may also be needed.
This work will need to be undertaken and completed between November 2026 and January 2027.
